the one where i get a feather

i don't by any means consider myself to be a trend follower but this time - they sucked me in. i have always loved the idea of playing around with my hair and used to loveee the idea of putting crazy colored streaks in it but i never followed through with it in fear that someone might think i was a little looney. so i finally decided to do something a little out of the ordinary and put feathers in my hair! i have been seeing them all around lately and love the natural look with a little bit of an edge. i'm lucky that in my job i don't have to worry about looking super prim and proper ( yay for being a creative! ). i have 4 thin feathers in my hair including black, burgundy, olive grizzly, and white grizzly. i love how fun they look! who knows how long the fad will last but they make me feel a little adventurous. you can really only see the white grizzly in the picture but i wanted them to be pretty subtle.

the next trend i've been loving but most definitely too chicken to try is the rainbow colored hair tips. super funky but a little too permanent for me as well.

no zit sherlock : the result

wow!!!! remember a month ago when i started the test? well, i can't believe how well bliss' 'no zit sherlock' worked on my face! so well that i want to get straight to the before and after photos :) and remember, no photoshopping here!

i'm totally grossed out by the before picture!!! it's so uncomfortable having an acne ridden face and i am happy to say, that is no longer me :) yes, i have a couple small blemishes still but i am completely okay with that if it means all other 239853459034 are gone! and also, i have an underlying condition that i don't think i can be pimple free until i get it fixed. i have recently been diagnosed with hyperthyroidism which really screws around with your hormones and of course the doctor can't get me in to prescribe something to whip it into shape until july, shrug. BUT i can actually go out without makeup and not be embarrassed, how awesome!

do how did i do it? i used the complete acne system and i will be honest, it got worse before it got better. i started out using all 3 ( cleanser, serum, and moisturizer ) twice a day every day but i soon realized it was too much for my face to handle. i then decided it was most likely the serum irritating my face so i started using only the cleanser and moisturizer in the morning and then all 3 at night. a month later, this is what i got! i have tried just about everything out there, even high end brands that i was suggested after a facial. but i can say i highly recommend this acne clearing system to anyone looking for one but you have to understand that with acne, sometimes using a stronger type can cause all of the impurities to rise to the surface and make it seem like you are breaking out again. but no worries friends, it will go away! you just have to be patient.

i don't wash my hair everyday

i am obsessed. i have struggled all of my life feeling like a grease ball if i don't wash my hair everyday but i have found the cure! this stuff is AMAYYYZINGGGG! i have been very hesitant of using a dry shampoo with nothing seeming to work and really soak up the oil on my scalp. but this oscar blandi volumizing dry shampoo does everything it promises. it really dries up the oil and adds that extra volume and leaves you with a lemony fresh scent. i wake up, spray some on my part, around the edge of my hairline and the let it dry. once it's dry you rub it to activate it and voila! you've got a wonderful looking head of hair!

for the past year i have struggled with acne which i have never had a problem with all of my life. just my luck, pimples pop up at 22 when i enter the professional world and all they do are make me feel like a teenager. i have been trying different ways to rid myself of these horrid beasts but nothing seems to work much to my dismay. i have a new product in hand that i'm going to try for the next month and see if it helps after hearing it raved about from a sales lady at sephora and searching on the internet. what's it called? no it's not a joke, it really is called 'no zit sherlock' from bliss. i'm excited to try it out and will fill you in on the results. i took a photo when my face was at it's worst but i'm a littler nervous to share!
